Nicole Nigro

Lecturer for Modern Dance (Graham), EBAS, Contemporary Dance, Dance Pedagogy

Nicole is a Berlin-based dance and theater artist, educator, and mother.
She studied at the School of Toronto Dance Theatre and York University, and completed advanced studies at the Royal Academy of Dance (UK) as well as an MFA in Physical Theater (Italy/USA). Her work has been presented in Canada, Europe, the Middle East, and the United States, including collaborations with Anandam Dancetheatre, the Danny Grossman Dance Company, Divadlo Continuo, and Peggy Baker Dance Projects.
As an instructor, she has taught at York University, the Dance Arts Institute, Canadian Contemporary Dance Theatre, Rose Bruford College, the Balance 1 Dance Academy, and the Berlin Summer University of the Arts (UdK), among others.
Her artistic practice combines dance, somatics, voice, and physical theater, exploring perception, memory, and human connection.
At the Academy she teaches Modern Dance (Graham), EBAS (Elemental Body Alignment System), Contemporary Dance and Dance Pedagogy.
