Miriam completed her dance education in in Berlin, New York, London and Paris (among others Judith Jamison, Bill T. Jones, Takako Asakawa, Milton Myers).
To unite the experience and knowledge she had gained in many places she was able to realize her dream of founding a professional dance education quite early. First she founded the BALANCE DanStudiOne in 1993, which was restructured in 1996 to the
Dance Academy Balance 1.

At Balance DanStudiOne, she not only taught her popular dance classes, but offered professional dance training for dancers and was one of the first to bring internationally renowned dancers to Berlin for workshops. Furthermore the studio became a residency for various professional dance companies, including Joseph Tmim’s toladá dance company.
In addition, Miriam danced in various dance companies, projects, shows and movies.
In 1997, the Dance Academy Balance 1 already received recognition for the newly established dance education for contemporary dance in Berlin.

Miriam is a member of the International Dance Council CID – official partner of UNESCO, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization.
