Isabelle Rune (Classical Dance, Floor Barre)
Isabelle Rune was born in Sweden, where she from the age of ten studied at the Royal Swedish Ballet School in Stockholm. After finishing her graduation she directly was asked to join the ballet company of the State Opera house in Berlin (1997).
During her seven years in the company she danced many different roles in the corps de ballet and as half soloist in the big classical ballets and main roles in the contemporary neoclassical evenings. After debuting in the role of the angel in Angelin Preljocaj creation “Announciation” she decided to leave the classical company that under that time were directed by Vladimir Malakov and she joined the Gothenburg Ballet with Kevin Irving in 2005.
From 2007 she continues her career as a freelancer with base in Berlin working with different choreographers in Europe. In 2009 she meets the Argentinian dancer Santiago Hernandez that wants her as his dance partner in Argentin Tango. After successfully teaching and performing tango with him she and Santiago opens there own Tango school in Berlin 2011. Today there school is one of the most renomated tango schools in Berlin with over hundreds of students.
At the same time Isabelle has finished her studies in social of science at Humboldt University and she also has a pedagogical degree in Vaganovas Method of classical ballet.
